The cave, the place of solitude, the fortress of the house has been the past names for the master bedroom of a home. Overtime the bedroom has evolved from the cave and sharing; similar ways through wars, lack of space and cultural divides the bedroom is a well known sacred place. But what does your bedroom say about you?
Next time you awake and have a moment of clarity look around and think of three words that would describe your room. I have taken personal time to think this through and I was not pleased of the status of my room portrayed to me. No, it wasn't a mess of books stacked on the side of my bed and clothes over the floor, nor was it too uncluttered to have the perception of someone living there.... it was just boring.
Unsatified with the style of bland, I looked on to find stacks of home style magazines at the library and read some interesting articles. Did you know that your room not only reflects your personality, but your attitude, your habits and your overall health? Yes, it says much about you but what can I do to help you to make it better? As a foundational truth I always claim, everything has its place. Sticking to this rule will maintain a clear attitude that clutter is not welcome in your resting place and can help in the long run when you unwind from a long day.
Three words I drew out in my plan was comfort, clarity, peaceful, What senses are brought to life when you step into your room? Remind yourself that your the one who has created the motif and change according to your desire.
